The Place for all CPR Consultants Instructor News and Updates

All AHA instructors must use the new 2010 materials, effective August 1, 2011.  This includes the new DVD, Instructor Manual, Student textbooks, the new tests, and  new cards.  Please do not use the old AHA cards.  They are not valid.  The new cards signify the student has completed the new science. 

All AHA classes must include AED, so all instructors must have an AED trainer.  For the BLS HCP classes, instructors must have the new DVD, new Instructor Manual, new textbooks for each student, pocket masks, BVM and infant manikins.

Rosters must be submitted within 10 days of teaching a class.  Cards should be given to the students within 10-14 days of class.  Cards must be given to every student that completes a certification class.  If a student does not wish to pay for a card, they must take a Family and Friends class.

If a roster is not completely filled out:  location (name and address), dates/times, and a summary evaluation, the roster will be returned and cards cannot be ordered.

Dues Information 2012:  please pay online.  Dues are $50.00.  DUE BY MARCH 31, 2012.  AFTER MARCH 31, DUES ARE $75.00.

 

CARD ORDERS

 

Please fill out the card order form completely.  We cannot process the order unless your Instructor ID number is included.  Payment must be included.  If you have a credit card on file, you can include just the last four digits. 

The card order should include shipping (if mailed) and taxes.  If payment is not being made until pick-up, the cards will be printed when you arrive, so you may need to wait for them. 

Walk-in orders will not be processed.  All card orders must be mailed, emailed, or faxed in .  If faxed, call to make sure the order went through.    We have over 600 instructors, and 10 Training Sites who submit large orders, which may delete our weekly inventory.  Please allow at least two business days to process orders.

IF YOU WISH TO TRANSFER TO OUR TRAINING CENTER FROM ANOTHER TRAINING CENTER, PLEASE READ BELOW:

First, fill out a "Records Transfer Form" and send it to your current Training Center to send your records to us.  All that is wanted is a copy of your current card, copy of the CORE, copy of 2010 New Science Update and a Summary of your teaching record (just last two years)

Second, fill out the New Transfer Form with the $100 fee

Third, once that is all in, you can look for classes on our website to be monitored, we will confirm if that class is availble for you to be monitored.  Allow 2-3 weeks for this. YOU MUST BRING THE NEW 2010 INSTRUCTOR MANUAL WHEN BEING MONITORED.  IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE, YOU CAN PURCHASE ONE FROM US, OR ORDER ONE FROM ONE OF THE AHA VENDORS.

Please be prepared to teach any an all of the class. You should have the DVD's to review and then have them teach your own classes.

Following that, you will be able to receive an Instructor Card with CPR Consultants.  All our cards expire June 2013.  Another update will take place at that time for all instructors.
